Bentley & Alvis Aventure - Days Eight & Nine

Day 8 Saturday August 31st 2019 & Day 9 Sunday September 1st  2019 - Travelling as required around Shetland in the two cars and the Coach.

Up very early to take the Bedford OB to the most northerly point in the British Isles.  This meant leaving at 7.00am to catch the ferry to Yell (really is an island, check it out).  We managed this despite the atrocious weather and having to turn back at one point for the ladies to have a loo stop.  Why can’t ladies hold on?  Didn’t notice much about Yell but at the top caught another ferry to Unst.  A further 10 miles or so and we had reached (well almost) Britain’s most northerly point and Britain’s most northerly Agricultural Show!  Very muddy and sadly very wet but still well attended.  Headed straight to the tea hall.  My goodness these ladies had some delicious soup and home make cakes.  Pot of coffee for two and a round of sandwiches came to £2.50.  Malcom wanted to negotiate and had to be restrained.  Very wet but still worth the journey.  We stopped for afternoon tea on the way home and now tucked up in bed to get warm while typing this.  Wind is picking up outside, my goodness it can blow up here.
